A busy day for baby milestones

Baby Bear is nine months minus a day or two and today has reached the dizzy heights of being able to clap!  Well, I am a ridiculously proud mother at the best of times, but this, I nearly cried!

But not to my credit, I arrived at my parents to collect the bear after his usual Monday afternoon trip to the supermarket with granny and low and behold, the early stages of clapping that we had instilled (involving excitable tummy patting), had evolved into full on clapping.  He even laid his dummy carefully down on the table to demonstrate.

We also now have vigorous head shaking when he doesn’t want something – usually in response to a drink of water.  The head movements are that energetic that granny felt a bit dizzy, most amusing.

So a busy day, on that note, off to add these momentous times to the baby journal…

  1. Now I never got to grips with a baby journal, I never had one!

    • I have to confess I didn’t keep it up! Wish I had! Have a friend who has carefully recorded every moment through pregnancy, birth and beyond.
