Childrens Food Festival

If you live within a reasonable distance of Oxford, the Children’s Food Festival is coming up on 27th & 28th June 2009.

Annabel Karmel will be there in the Cookery Theatre.  I’m already writing my list of questions for her, she’s going to think I’m a stalker, I should probably draw the line at asking to have my photographer taken with her.  Shouldn’t I?!

On a more serious note, getting your children to eat a balanced and varied diet can be a real challenge.  With the addition of an early years area this year, focussing on nutrition for the under fives, this food festival is sure to send you home with plenty of ideas and inspiration.

Research highlighted in The Times this week has revealed worrying information about some baby foods, and states that they can be worse for your infants than burgers or chocolate biscuits.

It sounds like a fantastic family day out with a farmers market, tastes from around the world, a smell tent, seed area, and celebrity chefs including Raymond Blanc, Annbel (yes!) and Sophie Grigson.
