From Lisa our pregnant panel mum…
One of the most worrying aspects of pregnancy, besides having a healthy pregnancy of course, is how your body will change over the course of nine months.
Besides growing out of your favourite skinny jeans there are also pros to growing a bump. Here are some pros and some cons of being pregnant… Pros The Breast boost – yes my little B cups are suddenly moving down the alphabet, well only to a C for now but they have got bigger. If I can hit a D bingo! 🙂 Menstruation zero – No shopping for tampons and pantyliners for nine months and the utter inconvenience and disruption of having to sport a monthly period , yippee. Cons The belly button thing – not sure Im enjoying this much. My belly button slowly looks like its turning itself inside out. At the moment its about ready to pop out… Stretch marks – those horrible silvery lines across the midriff, something mum warned me about. So far I haven’t noticed any but moreover the question is how do you prevent these dreaded stretch marks?
One of the first maternity purchases I made back in April was a bottle of stretch mark cream from Mothercare, but I’m wasn’t convinced that just a cream would help reduce any stretch marks. I needed something a little more convincing so I tried out Flexitol Naturals Skin Nourishing Oil. Not only does it smell gorgeous it sprays on easily and your skin soaks it up nicely.
Apparently few of us manage to escape the nightmare of developing stretch marks during and after pregnancy. You may not be able to remove them completely, but the appearance of stretch marks can be improved if you use a product like Flexitol Oil. Here’s hoping! It may be just the thing to help give you back a softer, more radiant, nourished and hydrated skin. Ingredients such as evening primrose oil, rose hip oil, vitamin E, coconut oil, avocado oil and everlasting oil help reduce the visibility of stretch marks.
All you need to do is massage your belly and thighs twice a day (I’m lucky if I remember to do this once a day). It can even be used to treat scars, blemishes and uneven skin tones. You can buy Flexitol (£7.95) in Boots, Superdrug or just go directly to the website www.flexitol.com
