This is a quick post and kick up the bum to do something really quick, easy and massively life changing.

Please, please give blood to The National Blood Service.

Especially if you are O negative like me, the most uncommon blood group.

You know that feeling when you help a stranger carry their shopping, or with their buggy down the steps.   Times that by one million.

You could save someone’s life tomorrow.

UK blood level are really low, especially of O negative.

Find out where you can donate now and gift the most amazing gift in the world this Christmas.

  1. As someone who has had 8 pints this year so far, please do give blood. I wouldnt be here without it.

  2. So true everyone should give blood. I’m a commoner O+ 🙂 x

  3. Also, is O- the one that ANYONE can get no matter what blood type they are – vitally important and many of my family and friends would not be here today if it wasn’t for blood transfusions. It really is that simple that 30 minutes can save people’s lives. Don’t be put of by the needle, I was got years and made excuses then one of my best friends was desperately ill and I got over that damn quickly and do you know what, it really wasn’t that bad, it didn’t hurt and I felt so happy for weeks afterwards knowing what I had done. So proud!!

    • You’re right it doesn’t hurt at all, and you get cups of tea and biscuits! What’s half an hour of your time – someone’s life depends on it, why wouldn’t you?! I’m going again next week.
