Back in August Bear turned four and for the first time was old enough to really express what he wanted for his birthday. Ben 10 and Transformers being the overriding theme.

So he was delighted to open a Ben 10 Omnitrix FX watch which apparently is the height of cool.

The watch has a number of features and sound effects which aren’t annoyingly loud.

It’s a nice role play toy for children who love the popular Ben 10 cartoon and want to act out Ben’s adventures.

It’s small and light enough to take on days out.

You can see the silhouettes of the aliens on the face of the dial accompanied by lights and sounds

A satisfying bang on the watch face changes the effects.

It would make a great Christmas present.

The funniest moment came when an older child in the park spotted Bear’s watch and accosted him to ask numerous questions about it before running back to his mum briefly, then returning with his own slightly older Omnitrix watch and suggesting that they swap.  Bear politely offered a short trying on session to the older boy but was careful to receive his birthday present before parting company!

None as such, although it’s quite big on the wrist of a four-year old, Bear wasn’t the least bit interested.

From a parenting perspective I would love if it had a real watch face inside to start learning to tell the time!

Suitable for age 4+

  1. aw, my son got one of the original ones of these when he was younger. he’s 15 now… but i’ll bet he wishes he still had it!

    • I didn’t know Ben 10 had been around that long – assumed it was only a few years old!
