‘The Motherhood’ feat. Fiat 500

Has anyone seen this video yet?! It’s the latest marketing campaign for the Fiat 500 and it tells the tale (in rap form) of the many challenges faced by a typical mother (although this one is far more immaculate and gorgeous than me!).

It’s worth watching though – it’s clearly written by real parents – the references to toilet activities and episiotomies might make you wince but you’ll nod in agreement too.  It’s quite gritty at points!

I admit I’m posting this for two reasons – 1) because I adore the Fiat 500 and have been slowly and strategically seeding hints to my husband that we need one and 2) because a small sum of money will be changing hands (honestly is the best policy).

However I do only ever post content that’s useful, interesting or entertaining – I’ll let you decide which category I’ve put this into.

There are a couple of reasons I’d love a Fiat 500 – the styling is iconic and for me it surpasses the Mini – I’ve always loved the Figaro’s but with a family you need the reliability and safety of a new car.  I also love a car that’s easy to park in tight spots – living in Oxford, parking is a nightmare and big cars are impossible in the centre of town.

I’m not 100% sure on the connection between ‘Motherhood’ and the Fiat 500, and whether you can fit three kids in the back, but the video is funny – the children in particular – I can see my four year old taking the role of the snorkeller quite happily.

Having a two week old baby in the house I’m about to face a bigger juggling task, especially when husband returns to work after a month off after Christmas – it’s going to be a shock to the system. No more tea and snacks delivered to the sofa while I’m feeding.  Despite being utterly and impractically gorgeous in this video, it serves as a good reminder to us all that we’re not alone in dealing with the traumas of parenting…

This is a sponsored post.  I received a small payment for posting this video as part of a marketing campaign.  All content is written by me and is original and honest.  I stick to the bloggers with integrity code to only post honest and open reviews.
